Maryse & Johnny - Le fruit de notre imagination or Avec la vie dans les yeux
Seemingly one of the missing quarter-finalists from the 1982 Belgian pre-selection. We are not completely sure, at this stage, which of the two songs was the eurovision song. Does anybody know or have either?

Tina Röklander – Secrets (English)   FOUND
4th in MF of 1994, this is the English version of Kom och dela din hemlighet. Thanks to Henrik, who appears to have tracked this one down.

Hari Mata Hari - Layla (English)
The Bosnian entry of 2006 and said to have been released as a bonus track on his recent American album. Does anybody have it?

Wess & Dori Ghezzi - Livin'
Seems that this pair recorded a second English version of their 1975 eurovision song, Era. One English version, Fallin', is widely available but can anyone help to track down this second version?

    Agnieška - Vejas
Does anybody have a studio version or a full live rip of this 2004 semi-finalist from the first of many mammoth Lithuanian pre-selections?

    Chips - Happy days
The band had some recording success in Ireland during the 1970s and Linda Martin was a member. They sang in a number of Irish national finals. This one finished 4th in 1978. Did they ever release it?

Mary Spiteri - Live for tomorrow
Second in the Maltese final of 1975. Did she ever record this and do any of our friends in Malta have a copy? Mary also participated in the first-ever Maltese final in 1971 with Min int. If anyone has these, then do get in touch.

Gunars Kalnins - Diamonds and pearls (4 mixes)   FOUND
From the 2001 Latvian final, this finished in 8th place. Available in Aktiv, Original, No Voice and Braithouse mixes.

    Jane Cassidy - Long before
This was 3rd in the Irish final of 1985 and was released on an album called The empty road on Claddagh Records Ltd. (CCF14). Jan is looking for this. Can anybody help?

Julie Dawn - Little ship and Jackie Trent - Little ship
Runner-up in the 1956 UK selection performed in the final by Shirley Abicair. She did not, however, record the song but Julie Dawn recorded it as the B side of her single Two different worlds released on Oriole CB1347. Jackie Trent later recorded it on Polydor BM6045. Does anybody have either of these versions? Jackie Trent is the wife of Tony Hatch who composed the UK song in 1964.

    Daimi - Fri mig
10th in the 1980 Danish final. She released her 1978 song. Did she release this one?

    Radojka Sverko - Bijeli san
Runner-up in the 1972 Yugoslav final. To date, I only have 2 studio versions from this final: the winner and Leo Martin's 5th placed song. Surely more are lurking around? Do you have this or others from this final?

Glória - Até perder a voz
One of the songs from the Portuguese final of 1988. It seems these were released on a cassette tape.

Luís Duarte - Quando a noite se faz certa
And another!

    Tó Leal - Encontro imediato
And one more from 1988!

Linda Kendrick - All I needed was your love
12th in the UK Song for Europe of 1979 and one of three from that year I only have on a manky old cassette tape. Has anyone a good copy of this?

Gina de Wit - Elke dag
9th in the Dutch final of 1989. Did Gina ever record this?

Bee Michelin - Une chanson rose
6th and last in the French final of 1980 and one of the few missing from that year. Do you have it?

Tina Reynolds - Don't need your sympathy
3rd in the 1972 Irish final and the first RTE transmitted in colour. Tina would go on to represent Ireland a couple of years later but did she ever release this?

Runner-up in the 2005 internal Polish selection where many of the top ten have emerged. Does anybody have this?

Alain Morisod - Hey, le musicien

    Melanie Cohl - Easy (English)
Belgium's 1998 song was reputedly recorded in English but never released.

This was 9th in the 1984 Austrian final and was released as a single.

    Sarit Hadad - Nadlik beyakhad
The full Hebrew version of her 2002 entry seemingly played once on Israeli radio. Thanks to Lior for the information. Anyone have it?

    Sestre - Only love (English)
Not the remix but the full English language version. It was never released but has anyone tracked this down at all?

The English version of her disqualified entry from MF 2003. It was supposedly due to be released on an album. Does anybody have it?

    Grup Gundogarken - Resimler resimler
This 1988 song was released on a cassette album called "Yaz Bulutlari" but does anyone have it? How about one of our Turkish friends?

Meri Voskanyan - Carry me in
Runner-up in this year's Armenian final. Does anyone have this or any other of the non-winning songs from this selection in studio format? Presumably some are well-known recording artists and there is a chance that they may record their songs in English or Armenian? Does anybody have demos they could share?

    Marjana Derzaj - Zlati April
At the end of the Yugoslav final of 1964, there was a tie break between this song and
Zivot je sklopio krug performed by Sabahudin Kurt with the latter declared as the winner as it polled more top marks. Does anybody have a live or studio rip of the song?

    Angeliki Bazigou - Hic
This was rumoured to have won the Greek selection in 1988 and you can read about this on the tie break page. Is there a studio version of Hic?

    Michelle - Benjamin
7th in the 1986 Dutch final. Michelle's other song from that year has been tracked down in both Dutch and English versions, Is this song available?

    Valentina - Made in Europe
Willy is looking for a studio version of the 16th placed song from Dora 1994. Does anybody have it?

    Zerrin Yaşar - Çiçekler
One of two missing songs from the inaugural Turkish final back in 1975. Does anybody have it?

Esin Afşar - Canı sıkılan adam
And the other missing song from 1975. Similarly, can anybody help?

    Şenay - Umut
And this was withdrawn from the 1975 Turkish final. Take a look at a special website that has been set up for the Turkish national finals here.

Sound of Music - Alexander (Instrumental)
Roy is looking for the instrumental version of this 1987 MF song. Does anybody have it?

Nils-Åke Runeson - Oh Juicy (English)
Well, an English version appears to exist but does not appear to have been released on the reverse side of the single in Sweden. Was it ever released? Can anyone help here?

    Mando - Mono essi
Runner-up in the 1989 Greek final, Mando lost by a single vote and had to contend with second place in 1990, however, she would get to represent Greece in Riga in 2003. Does anyone know if she commercially released this and her 1990 song? Does anyone have it to upload?

    Peter, Sue & Marc - Lève-toi soleil
This one finished runner-up in the 1975 Swiss pre-selection and is now the only eurovision-related song by this trio not to have been tracked down, unless there are more from the 1971 internal selection we do not currently know about. Can anyone help here? Maybe they recorded it in another language?

Guy Bonnet - Il bambino e il viecho marinale (Italian)
The other song that Guy performed in the first televised French pre-selection of 1970. This is the Italian version of L'enfant et le vieux marin which was on the B side of the italian version of Marie Blanche, his 1970 French eurovision song. Can anybody help with this?

    Severine - Komm (German)
The German version of Vien, submitted to both the internal French and Monagasque selections in 1971 is being sought. She would, of course, go on to represent Monaco the very same year and chalk up their one and only victory to date. Is there, perhaps, an English version too as she also recorded her eurovision winner in that language?

Carli Tornehave - Monte Carlo (Danish)
This runner-up in the 1966 MF was recorded in Danish. Any of our more mature fans have this?

Carli Tornehave - Herlige søndag (Danish)
The Danish version of Härliga Söndag, which was =5th in the 1966 MF, presumably on the B-side of her other song from MF that year.

    Marilin - Be 1st
8th in the 2006 Estonian final, however the track widely shared at the time was not in great nick. Does anybody have a good studio/CD version at all?

Ann-Louise Hanson - Make it together (English)
5th in MF 1982 and known to have been released in an English version. Who has this sitting around in their record collection?

    Shanes - Driver 62 (English)
And another from MF 1982. Anyone?

    Nanne Gronvall - Envious (English)
The English version of Avundsjuk from the 1998 MF, placed 4th, and performed in its English version in the 2002 Baltic Festival, finishing second as the Swedish entry. There is no mention in Nanne's discography of this being release but surely a demo, promo or live version must exist. Can anybody help here?

Lasse Mårtenson - Half as lucky as I (English)
Tom is looking for the English version of the 1967 Finnish entry, performed in Vienna by Fredi. This 1975 version was performed by the composer,
Lasse Mårtenson, who was Finland's representative in 1964.

Lior Narkis - Words for love (English)
This Israeli entry of 2003 was said to have been recorded in a full English version but his accent was said to have been so heavy that the language could barely be recognised ... but is this even true? Anyone know?

Marie Myriam - L'ucello e il bambino (Italian)
Jan is desperate to find the Italian version of the French winning song of 1977. Is it lurking somewhere in your collection at all?

    Paola - Bonjour bonjour (Portuguese)
This 1969 entry was released in, at least, 5 languages, which, strangely, did not include English. Does anyone have the Portuguese version? Jan has advised that UK singer Carrie Martin did release an English version of this song on the B-side of her single I won't do anything released on Decca 12951 in 1969. If anybody happens to have this too, could they share it please?

Krunoslav Slabinac - This poor boy is lonely
The English version of the Yugoslav entry of 1971. This was released on Decca F 23118 in the UK but does anybody have this?

    Ellen Winther - Lullaby (English)
Denmark's entry of 1962 reputedly exists in an English version. Can anyone shed any light on this?

Carol Rich - Meta meta (Portuguese)
This 1987 song was recorded for a Portuguese label in 1990 but never released. Jan A Gotz of Baby Baby has been in touch with Carol's label and they have confirmed this track, and other versions in English and Italian, were recorded. However, they have not released copies and are only keen to do so in the context of some form of release. I wonder if the combined weight of the OGAE clubs could help to fund occasional projects to secure rare tracks?

Jeane Manson - I've already seen it in your eyes (English)
American singer Jeane represented Luxembourg in 1979 and this was released on CBS SCBS 7222. Tony is dying to get his hands on this one, having seen it in a second hand shop many years ago, only to find when he went back with some money, it had been sold! Did you buy it? Could you share it with us?

Timna Brauer - And when the night comes (Sweet Vienna & P.J. mixes)
Austria's 1986 eurovision entry and one of a host that I am looking for. I shall be checking out the Eurovision Collector's Guide, available from Baby Baby, over the next few days and sticking some of my missing ones up here. If anybody can help, I'd be enormously grateful. This one was released on a 12" release on WEA 248 710 0-D, along with a special remastered entry version in the original German lyric, which I am also looking for.

Udo Jurgens - Merci cherie (Japanese)
Peter, the DJ at London's Retro Club on Douze Points evenings, is looking for a range of versions of Eurovision songs. One that has eluded me too thus far, despite having lived in Asia, is this Japanese version of Austria's only winning Eurovision song to date from 1966. It was released on Vogue US 202 V. Can anybody help here?

Katja Ebstein - Une autre riviere (French)
This version remains unconfirmed, according to The Eurovision Collector's Guide, produced by Jan Gotz of Baby Baby. Now if any of you do happen to have this lurking in your collection somewhere, that would be an excellent find!

Salome - Amigos, amigos (French version)
Joint runner-up in the 1969 Spanish national where Salome sang all the songers along with versions by selected guest singers. Salome, who more than resembled a high class drag queen when she took to the stage in Madrid, recorded this in, at least, 3 versions.

Jean-Claude Allora - Le couer dans les nuages   FOUND
This song finished 7th in the French national final of 1984 and was subsequently released on Polydor 881.236-7.

Franck Olivier - La fete   FOUND
Participated in the Belgian national final of 1978 but it is unknown where this was placed. It was released on Vogue 45. VB. 140.380 and Franck would go on to represent Luxembourg in 1985 with Chidren, Kinder, Enfants.

Janne Lucas - Play Mountain Rock 'n' Roll (English)   FOUND
The English version of Rocky mountain, which was 3rd in the MF of 1981 is being sought by Pelle. It was released on Mariann MIS 2314. Anyone have this?

Sten Nilsson - Love is (English & Instrumental versions)
The English version of Kärlek är, which featured in the 1988 MF but did not make the cut to the top six songs is being sought by Pelle. It was released on Scranta MCP1299.

Ann-Louise Hanson - Zum zum zum lilla sommarbi (Danish)
One of the finalists in MF 1963, it seems that a Danish version was recorded. Pelle from Sweden is looking for this, and a host of others, that are missing from his collection. Can anyone help?

Inger Öst - Du Fehlst Mir (German)
Pelle is looking for the German recording of
Du ser mig inte which finished 8th in MF 1969 and was released on Metronome M25151.

Lars Berghagen - Ding dong (German)   FOUND
Lars would represent Sweden two years later but finished 7th in the 1973 MF which famously overlooked Abba's Ring Ring. It appears that he recorded and released a German version. Does anybody have it?

    Einat Erlich - Okianus
Einat reputedly submitted this song to the internal Israeli selection of 1998 but did not make it to the final four. It would seem that she did, however, perform this in her TV show. Does anyone have either a studio version or a copy of the live performance?

Jari Sillanpää - Come To Me (English)
From the man who brings new meaning to the term fan favourite comes the English version of
Valkeaa unelma but did Jari ever record the English version of this song, which finished second in the 1998 Finnish final? I seem to recall that he intended to in 2004, when he finally did represent Finland.

Elisabeth Andraesson - Winds of the Northern Sea
Runner-up in the 1998 Norwegian final, did Elisabeth ever record this? There is a version by Floweryard but I cannot trace a studio version by the original singer.

    Jairo -
Dans les yeux d'un enfant   FOUND
5th, and last, in the Luxembourg final of 1978 and the only artist in the final I've never heard of before. I have received confirmation that this was released and it seems that a copy does exist.

Gianni Nazarro - Un fille de France   FOUND
5th, and last, in Luxembourg's final of 1976 but is this the song Gianni sung? Was he a well-known Italian singer? This is now the only one from that final we have yet to find. Perhaps it could have been the B-side entitled Un jour l'amour viendra? Any help appreciated here.

Marie Bergman & Roger Pontare - Avalon
Sung at their ESC press conference in Dublin in 1994. Surely this was recorded? Does this lurk somewhere in the SVT vaults?

Patrick Juvet - Toi qui as peur de l'orage
Another from the internal French selection of 1972. Like Marie, Patrick would make it to ESC the next year, representing Switzerland. As he is a prolific recording artist, I imagine there is a fair chance this could be tracked down.

Anne-Marie Godart - Oui, je t'aime/Si vous me separez de lui
Another submitted these two songs for the 1972 French selection and represented Monaco in the same year. She would finish 3rd in the French final the following year. One piece of nonsence I recall is that she was Miss TV France in 1973, finishing 3rd in Miss TV Europe which, I believe, was won by Sylvia Kristel for the Netherlands.

Betty Mars - On a tous dans la couer une etoile
Betty won the internal French selection in 1972 but she submitted two songs. Was this on the B-side or on an album at the time?

Jacqueline Boyer - Ainsi parlait la mer
Another from 1972, Jacqueline won the 1960 ESC. Did she record this?

    Anne-Marie David - Tu m'avais dit
Anne-Marie submitted two songs in 1972. Her other song, Un peu romantique, reached the final ten but this one did not. Did she record this at all?

Kirsi Ranto - I can't stop lovin' you
It is difficult to track down a studio version of this 2004 Finnish semi-final song performed by Kirsi. The widely available demo version is not performed by Kirsi.

Geta Berlacu - Zii lauta
One of the songs that tied for first place in that original Moldovan final but is there a studio version around?

    Rex Gildo -
Die beste idde meines lebens
3rd in the 1969 German final, a studio clip has long been available but surely someone has the full version as Rex was a prolific schlager artist of his day. Can anyone help? It seems that it is not detailed in his recording catalogue, so discovery now looks unlikely.

Patricia - Rien qu'une peu de sable
Amongst ten songs shortlisted as the prospective French entry in 1972 but does anybody have this song?

    Magazin - Jedan divan dan
Withdrawn from the Croatian Dora of 1993, surely this was released along the line somewhere? I have not found it thus far though.

Margot Eskens - Heut' ist ein Fest
One of three songs shortlisted in the internal German final of 1966. Margot was a fairly prolific recording artist over the years, so did she ever record this and/or the other song unsuccessfully shortlisted that year, Das Zirkuskind?

    Bessy Agyraki - Mia vrochi
Supposedly a big favourite to win the 1995 Cypriot final before the composer decided to withdraw it as a result of jury members' names not being made public. Bessy represented Greece as a teenager in 1977.

Jean-Claude Pascal - Je vais le faire une chanson
Runner-up in the Luxembourg final of 1981 and one of 10 songs competing. Did Jean-Claude release these on an album? Details of all songs can be viewed on
Gérard & Jan-Willem's excellent website here.

    Guy Bonnet - Il pleut
Guy submitted a song to the internal French selection of 1971, the year after he first represented France as a singer. Did he release this at all?

    Jacques Hustin -
L'an 2000 c'est demain
Sang Belgium's song in 1974 and participated in the final 4 years later with this song.

    Britt Damberg - Nya
fågelsången
3rd in the 1959 Swedish final. A Norwegian version version has turned up but did Britt ever record this?

Sandra - Das leben beginnt jeden tag
=6th in the 1972 German final, this is one of the few from that year I have not been able to track down in a studio version. Can anyone help?

Leslie Carling - Where are you know
6th in the 1981 Song for Europe 1981 but was this ever recorded?

Ritva Mustonen - Kun kevät saapuu
Juha from Finland, who lives in London, is looking for a variety of Finnish national final songs in either studio or live versions. The first of these comes from the inaugural national final of 1961. Can anybody help with this and the others?

    Kai Lind - Pistäydyn naapurissa
Another one from the 1961 Finnish final.

Laila Kinnunen - Lumineito
Semi-finalist in the 1962 Finnish selection. Laila sang the first-ever Finnish entry a year earlier.

Kai Lind - Tipi tii (Swedish)
Kai was the "other singer" to perform this in the 1962 Finnish final. Juha believes that Kai recorded a Swedish version. Anyone heard of this or have it all?

    Johnny Frosell - Anna Angelina
Semi-finalist in the 1962 Finnish selection.

Maynie Sirén - Tiketi tikke tak
Semi-finalist in the 1962 Finnish selection.

Pirkko Mannola - Sitä rakkaus on
Semi-finalist in the 1962 Finnish selection. Pirkko also took part in the German selection in the same year, faring a lot better by finishing in 4th place.

    Seija Lampila - Marraskuu
4th in the 1963 Finnish national final.

    Erkki Liikanen - Pimpula vei
6th in the 1963 Finnish national final.

    Tapio Lahtinen - Malaga
7th in the 1963 Finnish national final.

Marjo-Riitta Kervinen - Voin elää paremmin
Reached the penultimate place in the second Finnish semi-final of 1974.

Seija Simola & Lasse Mårtenson - Laulun kuulen
Last in the second Finnish semi-final of 1974 performed by the singers who represented Finland in 1978 and 1964 respectively.

    Naoimh Penston - Always you
To many, this would have fared a better chance if it had represented Ireland in 1995. For some weeks, it looked as though it might end up in the Point following allegations of plaguerism over Eddie Friel's song. Surely Naoimh recorded this, even though it might not have seen the light of day as a single?

Neda Karova & Da - Wish
8th in the Bulgarian final of 2006 and one of the few not to emerge in a studio version. Who can help out there, asks Patrick?

    Dav McNamara - Missing you
And this was the runner-up to the eventual Eurovision winner in the 1996 Irish final. Was it ever recorded? Does somebody have it to share?

    Martin Vucic -
Kolku bolka ostana
Bit of an ongoing plea this one but has Martin recorded this, or his other two failed national final songs from 2005 at all? The other titles are
Ljubovna parada and Dali vredi. I've a feeling I have the latter so I will check on that. Otherwise .... H.E.L.P. !!!

    Jaime Morey/Rosa Maria Lobo -
De pronto, tú
In the 1970 Spanish final, each song was performed by two different singers. Does anybody have either or both of the versions made by these two singers, who finished in 5th position? Jaime went on to represent Spain in 1972, whilst Rosa Maria would finish as runner-up in the internal Spanish selection of 1981.

    Era Rusi -
Nuk je ëndërr
Runner-up in the 2006 Albanian final, has this been released? Does a demo exist?

    Ann Christy -
Le temps, le vent
Participated in the Belgian semi-finals in 1970 with a French language song. Did she ever record it? Is there a Dutch version? Ann went on to represent Belgium 5 years later.

    Michael Holm -
Das beste an dir
9th in the 1973 German final. Michael performed a second song,
Glaub daran, which finished last. Did he release either of them?

    Marcella - I've never thought
3rd in the second, and rather hastily arranged, Moldovan national final this year. Has Marcella recorded this?

    Jean-Paul Cara -
Viens dans la ronde de la vie
Part of the French pre-selection of 1970, this did not progress from the quarter-final stage. Jean-Paul composed the French entries of 1976, 1977 and 1981 and finished 3rd in the 1978 French final and second in the 1978 Luxembourg final, with another song we are currently seeking. Can anyone help here at all?

Jamie Stone - If I give my love
Seemingly composed by Dana (Domestic) this was the runner-up  in the Irish final of 1977. Does anybody have the vinyl recording to share? Jamie also recorded one of the Swarbriggs songs in 1975,  My lady in blue, which was recently sold on e-bay. Could anybody share that one too?

Linda Martin - If I Could Change Your Mind/Here we go
4th and 6th in the Irish finals of 1986 and 1989 respectively, did Linda ever record these, as she did her two national final winners and her runner-up from 1990? Does anybody have these?

    Bea Luna - L'univers
4th in the 1995 Belgian final and something Trond is looking for. I'm not sure this was ever released though. Anyone?

Sheeba - It's Amazing what love can do
6th in the 1978 Irish national final from the trio who would represent Ireland in the 1981 contest. Did they ever release this? Also, we are looking for Go raibh maith agat which was 7th in the 1982 Irish final and My love and you placed 4th in the 1984 Irish final.

Jean-Paul Cara - Un arbre dans la ville
FOUND
Composer of the 1977 winning song, he finished 3rd in the French final of 1978 with a song which is widely available. He was runner-up in the Luxembourg final the same year with this one. This has now been tracked down and will be shared eventually.

Ingriani - Hey, hey dandy man
One of 3 songs submitted by Ingriani for the 1975 Belgian eurovision pre-selection, this finished as runner-up. The other two were released on a single but did this ever see the light of day?

Stuart Slater - All around the world
One of the few from 1983 that has yet to emerge in a studio version. Stuart finished in 5th place in A Song for Europe that year. He composed the song with his wife, singer Stephanie de Sykes, who appeared in the soap opera, Crossroads, as a singer, and went on to have a number 2 hit in 1974 with "Born with a smile on my face." Stuart and Stephanie also composed the UK entries of 1978 and 1980. Anyone have this at all? Did it get a release?

Leonie Brückner - Auch du wirst geh'n
Finished =4th in the German final of 1965 and was released on the B-side of the single Alle Madchen traumen von der Liebe (CBS 1708). Does anybody have this at all?

Christer Björkman - Ni vu ni connu
Placed 4th in the 2004 internal French pre-selection, does anyone have this song in any language version?

    Josefa Barocha Frindlach - Malach
3rd in the internal Israeli selection of 1998 but was it ever released? Does anyone have it?

    Eleni Dimou - Megas Alexandros
Third in the internal Greek selection of 1992.

Brian Kennedy - The greatest song of all
3rd in the Irish final this year and supposedly was going to be included on Brian's forthcoming album but it did not seem to make it at the end of the day.

Esma Redzepova - Malo, malo
Esma finished second in this year's FYR Macedonian final. Way back in 1971, she was 3rd with this song which some of you have apparently been looking for. I don't have it. Does anybody else?

Ipswich - Who put the shine on your shoes?
Another track from the 1979 Song for Europe when all the songs were played on Terry Wogan's morning radio show. The only commonly found file is a cassette tape rip from an old mangled tape I had where the song had to be savagely edited. Not sure whether this ever saw a release but, again, surely other cassette recordings exist of that radio show?

    Olexandr - Angel
Another song put forward to represent the Ukraine in their first-ever outing in 2003. This song was composed by Ralph Siegel and, in the event, was passed over in favour of "Hasta la vista." This probably has never been released but is it possible to get hold of a demo version?

Excellence - Last to know (Instrumental)
It seems that the instrumental version was released on what is probably a rare promo single. The single I have is of another song as lead track with the vocal version of this song as track 2. There is no instrumental version on that release, so anyone got the promo rip?

Pepel in Kri - My lucky star
This finished 6th in the 1976 Yugoslav final from the Slovene group (aka Ashes and Blood) who represented them a year earlier. This is the English version which I had when it was transmitted on "Pop over Europe" in December 1976 as the year's biggest selling record, presumably in Slovenia, rather than the whole of Yugoslavia! Does anybody have this? It is not on the single release of the Slovenian language song I have.

    Marty Brem - Clown
In 1981, Austria held their first televised final and a small affair it was too with all three songs sung by Marty. Neither live or studio versions appear to have surfaced on the two also-ran entries. This song finished second whilst "Und ich singe" finished third.

Eleanor Keenan - Call my name
3rd in the 1979 UK Song for Europe which was not televised due to a technicians strike at the BBC. Instead, the songs were played on Terry Wogan's morning radio show after the competition had taken place and the results announced afterwards. I ripped these songs from the radio at the time, however, this got mangled over the years and 3 of the songs have yet to turn up in better quality rips or in vinyl versions. This is one of them. Does anybody have a better quality version?

    Pece Ognenov - Manastirski son
Winner of Skopje 1997, this would have been the representative of FYR Macedonia had they achieved a much better result in 1996. as it was they could not even qualify for the final, let alone get a decent enough placing to ensure competing in 1997.

    Nora Brockstedt - Voi Voi
The Danish version that is!

    Johnny Logan - Angie
Prior to his successful appearances in both the Irish and Eurovision finals, Johnny tried, unsuccessfully, to represent Ireland in 1979. He finished 3rd. Did he ever record and release this?

Henri Dès - C'est pour la vie
This was released on vinyl, having finished 4th in the Swiss final of 1976. I had this years ago when it was played on "Pop over Europe" which often previewed eurovision songs from certain countries, however it was taped over or lost. Henri represented Switzerland in 1970.

Isabelle Aubret - Le gars de n'importe ou

This was released in 1961, the year it finished second in the French final, on Isabelle's first EP, along with another song,  "Les mouettes" from the final. Both have been tracked down.

Johnny Logan - Por un ano mas
The Spanish version of "What's another year?" was seemingly released in a version by Johnny Logan on a Mexican compilation LP.

Mireille Kapellen - Ik was een kind
The original choice to represent Belgium in 1985 in what must be the only Flemish internal selection to date! Linda Lepomme eventually went with another song and it is known that Sofie, Bart Kaëll and John Terra all submitted songs. There was disagreement over the choice of lyrics and the singer withdrew. Did she ever record this song? This is possibly the most difficult of the withdrawn songs to get.

    Maywood - Shine
They would ultimately represent their own country, the Netherlands, in 1990 but in 1988, their song, in English, called "Shine" was put forward, albeit unsuccessfully, as a potential representative for Luxembourg.

Anna Vissi - Thelo na gino star
Runner-up in the Cypriot final of 1986, did Anna ever record this?

Arcadi Dochin & The Lemons - Shir tikva
Few songs from the Israeli pre-selections elude the collector as, with few exceptions, albums were released with all the competing songs. Between 1998 and 2000 though, the Kdam was not publicly broadcast but the results of the top 3 or 4 songs are known in each of these years. I have personally not managed to get any of the other songs from 1998. This one finished second. Anyone have this in Israel?

    Biggi Bachman - Little cowboy
The song that Liechtenstein wanted to enter in 1976 but could not. Biggi did have a recording contract and also entered the Swiss final in 1979. Does a recording of this song exist?

    B'Avarija - Oceans of love
Finished 10th in the 2005 Lithuanian final, it seems unusual that no studio version has yet turned up of the song. A Lithuanian version reportedly circulated prior to the selection but this proved to be a different song. Does anybody have this?
